Jobseekers can take heart from a a new survey which cleary shows employers value reliability and loyalty in their workers much more than skills or experience.
According to an Australia-wide survey of employers commissioned by The Salvation Army Employment Plus employers selected 'reliability' 136 times as the most desirable attribute in an employee in comparison to 'skills' which was only picked 49 times. 'Loyalty' was seen as the second most valued trait, being selected 60 times, whilst 'hard-working' was selected 50 times.
