What kind of work have you done with TSAEP, and who was your consultant?
BUSY At Work has the widest coverage of Australian Apprenticeships Support Services in Queensland and has worked collaboratively with a range of TSAEP Consultants for many years. BUSY has reciprocated the relationship by providing Apprenticeships and traineeships advice and support to TSAEP, its jobseekers and its employer clients.
What was the experience like?
The service provided to us by TSAEP is outstanding. We have always found their consultants to be professional and genuinely considerate of the needs of both employers and jobseekers.
What kind of results have you seen?
TSAEP has always aimed to match its jobseekers to the needs of BUSY’s employer clients. This professional, thorough approach by TSAEP has enhanced BUSY’s reputation as a customer service orientated organisation, by ensuring that only clients appropriate for vacancies are matched.
(If jobseeker long-term unemployed)A lot of our employers were initially concerned about hiring a long term unemployed person - what would you say to someone concerned about doing what you have done?
Within our long term unemployed population are a range of skills waiting to benefit the right employers. These skills cover the technical as well as the softer transferable range. There are also many jobseekers awaiting the opportunity to shine and a forward thinking employer will be able to utilise this enthusiasm, to develop new skills and provide a shared sustainable future for both the business and the jobseeker.
If someone wanted to work in a business like yours but was struggling to find a vacancy in the downturn what would your advice to them be? (eg, undergo training? etc)
Now is the time to refocus your future and match it to the needs of the economy and your community. If you cannot find a vacancy then it’s a great time to source a training opportunity, particularly in the skill shortages industries. As the economy improves you will then have a headstart with your career.
