Jaqui
With help from TSAEP, Jaqui has finally been able to realise her dream of working in the aviation industry. Jaqui, who lives with her children in regional WA, had always dreamt of following in the footsteps of her Aunt - one of the first Indigenous people to work as a flight attendant for what is now Skywest. However, after having children and feeling that age was against her, Jaqui began to lose hope. Even worse, she could no longer travel for work due to her family commitments. This is when Jaqui came to TSAEP. Her Business Liaison consultant worked with Skywest to secure an interview for Jaqui, which allowed her to demonstrate her exceptional people skills and enthusiasm. Jaqui went on to be a successful candidate, and has proven to be every bit the person Skywest had hoped for - with Skywest Regional Manager, Desmond Hill commenting that “If I had a team of Jaqui’s, life would be very easy indeed”. With a little help from TSAEP, Jaqui has proved that, in her own words, you are “never too old to follow your dreams.”
