Local, State & Federal Governments
Recognising the common goal of helping unemployed people find work, The Salvation Army regularly works alongside government agencies to assist disadvantaged people.
The Salvation Army Employment Plus currently administers one of the largest Job Network contracts in Australia. It does so on an entirely not-for-profit basis, supporting itself and returning any profits to jobseeker services or other social programs run by The Salvation Army. Under the new Job Services Australia contract The Salvation Army Employment Plus will undergo extensive changes but remain one of the largest employment services providers in the country.
In many states The Salvation Army Employment Plus also works cooperatively with state governments, helping tackle local unemployment issues and working in specialist areas, such as former offender employment.
