AA Affirmative Action
ABN Australian Business Number. Registration number for the GST
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples The most precise and inclusive reference for Indigenous Australians is 'Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' (as specified by ATSIC). Other acceptable group terms are 'Aboriginal people(s)', 'Australian Aboriginals' and 'Torres Strait Islanders'. Be aware that many Aboriginal groups prefer to identify themselves with local terms or language groups, e.g. Koori/Koorie, Warlpiri, etc. but take care not to misapply them. See also Indigenous
