The vibe was electric at the first Connecting Futures event at Employment Plus Morley. With over 50 motivated and ready job seekers in attendance, Employment Plus hosted two strategic employers with an eye for talent, who came to select their future employees from the best of the best candidates.
With interviews being conducted on the spot, the quality of candidates was so high, many were earmarked for roles on the day.
“We bring some of our most motivated candidates to Connecting Futures events, making it a fast, easy and effective way to find talent,” said David Turnbull, National Manager – Sales.
Joe Psaila, Business Development Manager – WA, echoed the sentiment, saying, “The employers who attended said their expectations were greatly exceeded as the day ran so professionally. The job seekers were all well-presented – and 15 were automatically given placements in hospitality – with more to begin specialised training soon”.
Olympic swimmer and restaurateur, Eamon Sullivan, spoke at the Morley event and shared his own story about overcoming the odds and reinventing himself, in the face of critics.
Eamon is best known for his accomplishments as a professional athlete, but has since diversified his career by branching into hospitality, business and media.
We’re also pleased to announce that Vice-Captain for the Perth Wildcats and community leader, Greg Hire, will be speaking at the 11 April Connecting Futures at Osborne Park.
Greg is known for his many feats and accolades on the court, but it is his outstanding community work that sets him apart.
