Here's a handy guide to the IT hardware and software you'll need to access our virtual training courses
In order to make our training even more accessible and convenient for you, all our courses are conducted via Microsoft Teams.
Once you’re registered for a course, your trainer will email you an invitation to join the session. Make sure you check the following requirements and download any of the software you don't have already. It's a good idea to test and check it's all working properly before the training day.
On the day of your training, simply click on the blue Microsoft Teams link in the invitation email from your trainer, and Teams will automatically launch on your computer. Follow the prompts on your screen to connect to the call.
Here is the equipment and software you will need:
- Access to a desktop or laptop computer
- Internet access:
Free WIFI or enough data for video streaming throughout the day, and an email address
- Either of these web browsers
- Microsoft Teams
If you don’t already have Teams on your computer, you will need to download the free Microsoft Teams software to your desktop or Laptop. This is available for both PC and Apple computers.

- Microsoft Office & PDF reader
If you don’t already have Microsoft Office and a PDF reading program such as Acrobat or Preview, we also recommend that you download the free ‘open office’ software LibreOffice to enable you to view and open any workbooks or resources we send you.
