What is Bridge?
The Salvation Army Employment Plus Bridge program, funded by Jobs Victoria, is a voluntary service for job seekers aged 15-30, who are experiencing (or at risk of) mental ill-health. Bridge has been established to support young people on their journey to fulfilling, long-term employment.
Situated alongside other Salvation Army services and collaborating with a range of local service providers, Bridge empowers young people to play an active role in their treatment, recovery, and journey towards employment. Working closely with other service providers to address barriers such as drug and alcohol dependence, mental and physical health issues, family or relationship breakdown, Bridge supports young people to find educational and employment pathways aligned to their interests and skills.
We’ll offer support and guidance around how to get well, stay well and progress with your goals, and help connect you with those local employers with employment opportunities aligned to your goals.
