Wow-wee - Employment Plus currently has almost 4,000 job vacancies listed with us, so if you’re wanting to get a little extra cash in the lead up to Christmas, make some new connections and enjoy all the other benefits that come with working – have a look at what’s new below.

In this summary we’ve included the most recent month’s listings (around 1,200 new jobs) but there are plenty of others still waiting to be filled. So, if you see something you like, don’t hesitate to reach out to your job coach and see what other options are available to you.

BRISBANE SOUTH EAST

If warehouse administration and importing and wholesaling roles are this season’s elves – then Brisbane South East is in need of plenty, with around 150 jobs recently listed in this space and a further 15 with forklift drivers licences needed. Family support workers, food and drink workers, food trades assistants, contact centre operators, gardeners and, of course, sales assistants to wrap all the Christmas goodies are also in demand.

CAPITAL REGION

Product assemblers (29 roles) are needed in this region – no doubt putting together things for the festive season and beyond! Around 20 builder’s labourers are needed to get things looking ready for the summer months. Cleaning roles, sales assistants and food and beverage staff are also needed for imminent Christmas parties!

GIPPSLAND

Around 20 new cleaning jobs have been listed for this region, which despite being a new area for Employment Plus, is putting people into roles at a rapid rate! Another dozen staff are needed in food and drink factories or to fill food trade assistant roles. Hospitality and call centres also want staff.

HUNTER

There are jobs galore in Hunter at present, with 75 cleaning roles open, 30 concreter roles and a further 20 jobs for clay, concrete, glass and stone processing machine operators. Other newly listed role types with more than 20 positions on offer include bar attendants, road traffic controllers, product assemblers and check-out operators – ready to sell all that festive food!

NORTH EAST MELBOURNE

Maybe lots of kids are calling Santa but there are 42 call or contact centre operator jobs available in this region, some of which can be managed remotely. Nearly 30 jobs in factory processing have been listed, alongside 20 security officers and packers. Sales, cleaning and labouring jobs are all available too.

SYDNEY GREATER WEST

If you live in the Sydney Greater West area there might be extra presents under the tree or plenty of pavlova for you this year. Certainly, the area is anticipating a LOT of shopping with 120 store-persons or sales assistant jobs listed with Employment Plus. And to get all those goodies to where they need to be there are jobs for 66 factory process workers, forklift drivers, product assemblers or packers and 24 delivery drivers and 4 truck drivers. A further 20 jobs in cleaning are on offer.

WIVENHOE

Wivenhoe is ho-ho-hoping for logistical helpers this Christmas – with 26 roles for packers, 14 for factory process workers, 10 roles in meat, poultry and seafood process workers and a further 6 for forklift drivers.

The region also needs 16 nursing support workers and a dozen family support workers. Each of the following roles have 11 open vacancies waiting to be filled: contact centre team leaders, contract administrators and sales assistant.
