On the spot interviews for internal vacancies

Join Employment Plus to help us change more Australian lives and communities, through the power of employment.

We are growing our Disability Employment Services (DES) team in Launceston, and have roles available for people who have a passion for helping those with a disability, injury or health condition. As a member of our team, your role would involve working with participants in the DES program to assist them to overcome barriers to employment, providing them with the tools and confidence they need to successfully transition into the workforce.

Your role would include conducting appointments, creating goals and referring participants to both internal and external services for support and training, marketing and referring to employment opportunities, supporting them as they settle into their new role and much more. This is a fast-paced but rewarding role that enables you to support the participant along their journey and share in the positivity that employment brings.

There is no need to book a time or register for an interview ahead of the day – simply attend our Launceston office anytime between 9am and 1pm on Tuesday 5 September 2023.

Be sure to bring along your photo ID and resume. If you are unable to bring your resume with you on the day, you may email it instead to employmentpluscareers@salvationarmy.org.au before attending the interview.

While a full driver's licence is required, industry experience is not – our most successful employees come from customer-facing backgrounds such as retail and hospitality and have the life skills to provide mentoring and support. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a new career and be truly rewarded (and get your weekends back)!

A current registration to work with vulnerable people is a mandatory requirement for this position. Successful applicants will be required to undertake a police check, however it is not mandatory to have a clear criminal history.
