Give yourself a competitive edge in the job market and accelerate your career prospects by undertaking an accredited qualification with our Training Plus team.

At Employment Plus, our dedicated in-house Training Plus team offers a wide range of training and courses, designed to help equip you with all the skills and qualifications you need to advance your career and job-hunting prospects.

All our courses are taught by qualified Vocational Education and Training (VET) trainers, and are available completely free of charge to all participants currently registered with Employment Plus. To make them more accessible, almost all our courses are conducted online via Microsoft Teams and are hosted live, with groups of up to 30 participants.

Here is a breakdown of the different types of training and mentoring we offer:

Employability skills

Our online job hunting skills courses are usually around 2 hours and cover a wide range of topics, from how to write a great resume and cover letter, to interview skills, marketing to employers, effective job searching, and using social media for job hunting.

Pre Employment Programs (PEPs)

These industry-specific programs are designed to give participants information about working in a particular industry. Held over a few sessions, these courses will help you identify if this is an industry you are keen to pursue work in and give you relevant knowledge to help apply for these kinds of roles. Our Pre Employment Programs also contain two National recognised units of competency and can also lead to employment opportunities. In addition to this, on the last day of the program, an Employment Plus recruiter meets the students to discusses their current vacancies and opportunities in the labour market. Your resume is then sent through to them, so they can match you to current vacancies and promote you to relevant employers.

Full Qualifications

Our very popular Nationally recognised Full Qualifications include BSB30115 Certificate III Business and SIR20216 Certificate II Retail Services. While undertaking these courses each student is assigned a specialist trainer and mentor, who is available to answer questions, coach and support you throughout the course. In addition to this, if you’re in the Work for the Dole phase of your Job Seeker journey, our full qualifications can be listed as an approved activity.
