Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA)
Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) is the Australian Government’s new specialist disability employment program, replacing the Disability Employment Services (DES) model in November 2025.

What IEA offers
-
Personalised and person‑centred employment support for people with disability, injury or health conditions, placing you at the centre of the process.
-
No strict time limits: there will no longer be a two-year cap on support, and people working under 8 hours/week, or those not receiving Centrelink payments, can volunteer.
-
A more flexible service model offering intensive support when needed and lighter-touch ongoing support, designed around your goals.
Support for employers
IEA providers will collaborate with employers to:
-
Identify workplace needs and candidate fit,
-
Offer training on inclusive recruitment and workplace adjustments,
-
Provide post-placement support to ensure ongoing success,
-
Offer access to wage subsidies of up to $10,000 for eligible supported job seekers.
Independent assessments continue
Services provided through the National Panel of Assessors (NPA), such as Ongoing Support Assessments, Supported Wage System (SWS) assessments, and Workplace Modifications Services, will continue under IEA with updated assessment methods to align with the new program model.
