The Salvation Army Employment Plus has launched a new mobile bus program for regional job seekers to help reduce the impact of transport barriers on their journey to employment.

The new face-to-face service brings Employment Plus directly to job seekers who may otherwise struggle to attend appointments, due to poor public transport in their area, or not having a vehicle or driver’s licence.

Finding work can be a difficult and emotional task and we want to take some of the stress and headache out of getting support, so job seekers can really focus on finding work, rather than finding us. In-person support is extremely beneficial in motivating and coaching job seekers and the bus has been specially fitted out to conduct supportive, results-orientated discussions.

Equipped with two interview stations and all the necessary resources any job seeker needs, this bus has already been engaged in a pilot program in regional NSW for the past month, visiting job seekers in Berridale, Bibbenluke, Bombala, Boorowa, Cooma, Harden and Jindabyne.

As new locations come onboard, we will publish the bus schedule here. To find out more about this exciting program, please don’t hesitate to contact us 136 123.
