- Unloading meat products onto trucks
- Moving meat and carcasses to freezers and chillers
- Separating organs and glands
- Inspecting poultry, meat and seafood for size and quality
- Operating machinery to cut, peel, skin and/or crumb meats or seafood
Experience and qualifications
- You do not need any formal qualifications to work as a Meat, Poultry and Seafood Process Worker, however a course in meat processing or seafood processing may help
Skills
- Able to handle raw meat and seafood
- Great at following instructions
- Organisational skills
- Communication skills
- Strict adherence to work health and safety and hygiene standards
