Pre-Employment Programs

Our Pre-Employment Programs are designed to provide you with an introduction to various industries, so you are fully aware of what employers within the industry value, and what these kinds of positions entail.

Each course contains three nationally recognised units of competency. You’ll also update your resume to appeal to this sector and learn how to succeed at job interviews specifically for these types of roles.

• 1. World of Business

  This course is designed to provide participants with specific skills to prepare them to work within a business environment. Three accredited units are included to assist participants develop skills to secure employment in administration.

  Units of competency:

  BSBTEC202 - Use digital technology to communicate in a work environment
  
  BSBWRT311 - Write Simple Documents
  
  BSBXCM301 - Engage in Workplace Communication

  12 days - 2 x 3.25 hours sessions per day virtual sessions
  3 days per week

  Tues to Thurs

  20 PBAS points per week

• 2. Customer Engagement & Teamwork

  This course is designed to provide participants with specific skills to prepare them to work within customer service environment and as part of a work team. Three accredited units are included to assist participants develop skills to secure employment in retail.

  Units of competency:
  

  SIRXWHS002 - Contribute to WHS
  
  SIRXIND001 - Work effectively in a service environment
  
  SIRXIND003- Organise personal work requirements

  12 days - 2 x 3.25 hours sessions per day virtual sessions
  3 days per week

• 3. Hospitality

  This course is designed to provide participants with specific skills to prepare them to work within a Hospitality environment. Three accredited units are included to assist participants develop skills to secure employment in the hospitality industry.

  SITXWHS005 - Participate in safe work practices
  
  SITHIND005- Use Hygienic practices for hospitality service
  
  SIRXIND001 - Work effectively in a service environment

• 4. Intro to Customer Support/Call Centre

  This course is designed to provide Job seekers with specific industry knowledge and skills in the call centre industry, to enable them to successfully obtain employment within this industry. Three accredited units are included to assist participants develop skills to secure employment in the call centre industry. Units of competency:
